Local Food Banks
The area food shelves supply food to those who live in Jordan, Belle Plaine, New Prague and surrounding areas. Alloy periodically sponsors food drives, collects, organizes, and delivers the food to the local food bank.
Feed My Starving Children
Feed My Starving Children is a Christian non-profit that has distributed 5 billion meals globally. They support families in need in North and Central America, Africa, Caribbean, Middle East, South America, Asia and Europe. Their mission statement is: “We want to reach everyone, until ALL are fed”. Alloy has periodically brought a team of our employees to pack meals to be sent to places of need around the world. We are fortunate for the opportunity to partner in this way with a local organization working to relieve hunger around the world.
Roblealto/Granja Roblealto
Alloy sold a rendering project in Costa Rica. During the “get to know you” phase of the sale process, we found out that Granja Roblealto is part of a non-profit, and that all of the profits from the poultry plant go to feed and house over 900 children daily. A couple of US missionaries came to Costa Rica in the early 1930’s and started working with children eventually starting an orphanage. The part of the organization that Alloy began working with is Granja-Roblealto or the “Roblealto Farm”. Rendering is an unusual but rewarding industry, and once Alloy found out about how the funds generated from the rendering equipment we are supplying would be used, we wanted to share it with others who might want to help.
